The Sister Lie
by Becky Masterman

Retired FBI agent Brigid Quinn confronts the truth about her long-estranged sister in this unputdownable psychological thriller from CWA Gold Dagger shortlisted author Becky Masterman.

My sister drowned in the Bahamas. Three days after her funeral, she came back.

I identified her body in a Nassau morgue. Now Ariel is sitting next to me. So either a miracle has happened or . . .

My
sister’s death was one big lie.

I know Ariel better than anyone. She’s a compulsive liar. She’s spent her entire life manipulating people, leaving chaos in her wake. And now she’s back, on the run and hiding in my house — with dangerous secrets, dangerous enemies, and a talent for turning everyone around her into collateral damage.

As bodies appear and old family secrets come to light, I’m forced to confront a terrifying possibility.

What if Ariel is lying again? What if she isn’t running from danger but . . .

She is the danger.

A
darkly funny psychological thriller packed with family secrets, deadly lies,
and a sister you’ll never forget, featuring Brigid Quinn, “one of the most memorable FBI agents since Clarice Starling” (Publishers Weekly). Perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn, Lisa Gardner, Lisa Jewell, and Tess Gerritsen.
