Yorkshire, early 1900s.

Ten years have passed since Emma and William Sinclair left Scotland to make a new life for themselves at Moorend Farm. Their lives here are peaceful. No one in Yorkshire knows of the secrets surrounding their marriage and how much William’s parents disapproved of their love. Then Emma receives word that her beloved mother is dying. The couple rush back to their Highland home to care for her and are reunited with their families. But not everyone is happy to see them return.
