Shannon’s Rebirth
by Paul Bennett

AN UTTERLY GRIPPING, ACTION-PACKED THRILLER THAT WILL HAVE YOU HOOKED.

No bad deed goes unpunished.

As a favour to his old friend Sir Gerald Campion, Nick Shannon is investigating the books at an advertising agency to make sure everything’s kosher — his first mistake.

His second is attending the company’s annual fete for clients, employees and their families. It’s a wholesome affair with a selection of rides and stalls selling homemade cakes and a hog roast.

But the merriment comes to a grinding halt when a gut-wrenching scream escapes from the ghost train. Nick races to the scene to find Bradley, a prominent client, slumped in a train car with a knife sticking out of his chest. His final, cryptic whisper: McLuhan.

Now Nick has two jobs: find a fraudster and catch a killer.

With his wedding fast approaching, Nick’s race against time becomes a high-stakes gamble, where each step could cost him dearly.

The key to solving the enigma lies within Bradley’s final word: McLuhan. But the closer Nick gets, the more danger he’s in. Now Nick is entangled in a deadly dance where every move could be his last.

Fans of Frederick Forsyth, David Baldacci, J.B. Turner, Rob Sinclair, Lee Child, Vince Flynn and Robert Ludlum will devour this series of addictive page-turners.

NICK SHANNON

Nick Shannon is a survivor and good guy really. Before his time in prison, Nick was a mathematician and bridge player extraordinaire. He’s also a ladies’ man and a risk taker, which means he often finds himself in trouble and on the wrong side of the law. While in prison, Nick formed bonds with a band of likeable rogues who helped him through his time inside. Now he’s out and making a name for himself as a fraud detective and thus, Shannon Investigations was born. And his prison connections are proving surprisingly useful . . .

Reviews

‘In 1998, I bought a copy of Hannibal at the St. Louis airport in Missouri. The cashier at the bookstore said, “When I got to the last pages of this book, my jaw was nearly on the floor. You aren’t going to believe it.” I thought, Yes, I will. I’ve been reading crime novels since I was seven years old. I’ve seen it all. Then, when I got to the book’s last pages, I was in shock. She was right. That hasn’t happened to me since 1998. Until now, the wedding scene in Shannon’s Rebirth.’ Jodi C.
‘Great book!! This book had a bit of everything: suspense, action, intrigue, mystery, revenge, murder, and some crazy twists and turns!’ Debbie B.
‘I absolutely loved this book. I cannot say enough good things about Shannon’s Rebirth. Entertaining with a great plot, twists and turns, overall fabulous story telling.’ Carly C.
‘Who would have thought that being a fraud detective could be so exciting — and threatening. Even a reasonably simple job ends up having several deaths and near deaths. Loved it.’ Aileen G.
